What is covered
- ENERGY STAR certified heat-pump system combinations and published performance fields.
- Official qualified-product lists for Mass Save, Focus on Energy, Energize Connecticut and Efficiency Maine.
- Xcel Energy Colorado only where its complete public rule can be stated without guessing.
- Heat-pump project costs published by selected New York and Oregon public programs.
What is not covered
- Every heat pump sold in the United States. Some programs qualify equipment that is not ENERGY STAR labeled.
- New York model eligibility until a reliable NEEP product-list feed is available.
- Programs whose binding product list is private or whose public rules contradict one another.
- Project approval, dollar amount, remaining funding, income, sizing or participating-contractor eligibility.
Program files use wildcard model families, change on different schedules and can contain products absent from the federal dataset. Always confirm through the official source linked on the page.
Source handling
Source rows are preserved for audit. Eligibility comes from program-owned lists when available; we do not infer a definitive yes from incomplete prose. Cost pages show sample size, geography and the actual project coverage window rather than the file's download date.
Privacy
Public pages use the brand team byline and do not expose a private maintainer identity. Alert signups store the email address, requested topic, confirmation state and operational send history. Alerts start only after confirmation and include one-click unsubscribe. We send no newsletters or unrelated marketing, use no tracking pixels, and do not sell or rent addresses. Cloudflare processes the stored request and Amazon Web Services processes the email solely to operate this service.
Guided checks and installer pilot
The Connecticut guided check compares complete literal component strings in one dated source row. Wildcards remain unresolved unless their source semantics have been verified; model suffixes are never discarded. Your utility, project pathway and equipment confirmation are user answers, not verified project facts.
Unfinished equipment entries remain in this browser tab using session storage. Shared results use an opaque link and contain only official equipment records, program context, findings and source dates. Arbitrary search text and customer contact details are not copied into shared results. Anyone with a link can read it for 180 days; save a PDF for longer retention. Shared results are excluded from indexing and sitemaps.
We count check starts, exact and unresolved completions, share/print use and pilot-interest clicks as daily totals. These counters contain no equipment input, result identifier, customer details or contact information. Daily counters are retained for 180 days; repeated actions and automated traffic may be counted. The general web analytics beacon is disabled on guided-check and shared-result pages.
Pilot interest opens your email application and sends nothing automatically. If you choose to send, Installed Cost uses your address and message only to reply about the pilot. Pilot enquiries are kept separate from alert subscriptions and deleted after 90 days unless you agree to continue. Reply to request deletion. There is no active paid pilot or automatic marketing consent.
